We have exciting news to share: we are now nationally certified as a Women’s Business Enterprise!

Our certification comes through the Greater Women’s Business Council, a regional certifying partner of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). Since 1997, WBENC has been creating space for women-owned businesses, and they are now the largest third-party certifier of businesses owned, controlled, and operated by women in the US. We are so proud to be recognized by this legendary organization!

In many industries, only a small percentage of contracts go to women-owned businesses. This is even true in the retail industry, despite it being a female-dominated business. While the majority of garment workers and apparel consumers are women, leadership statistics remain low within the fashion and tech spheres. At TO THE MARKET, we are determined to do our part to help change that in whatever ways we can.

Becoming certified requires meeting an in-depth standard implemented by WBENC. This includes a detailed review of the business and a site inspection to ensure that the business is at least 51% owned, operated, and controlled by a woman or women.

As both a WBENC Certified business and a Certified B Corporation, we are in a  unique position to empower conscious consumerism. We are eager and determined to utilize purchasing power for good. With the high standards of WBENC, B Corp, and our own company values, we are proud to do everything we can to change the global supply chain for good.
