Our partner makers in Guatemala are passionate about coffee, community and empowering women. They are resolved to making a difference in the lives of their farmers, many of them women, and their families. This commitment to improving the lives of women can be directly traced to the improvement of their families’ nutrition, education and economic empowerment of women in the local and global economy.
They continue to strive to empower women makers to take leadership roles, produce high-quality coffee and be involved in their community development.
The maker produces this Huehuetenango coffee grown by only small scale women farmers, organized in the Comal and Copecafé associations. It is USDA certified, Fair-Trade coffee that is high-quality and sustainably harvested.
