London Demo Day for Dream Assembly was a big success yesterday! We have spent the last ten weeks with the Farfetch Dream Assembly team and were honored to be selected to participate in this program out of hundreds! As we prepare to travel back home this week, we wanted to reflect on our journey with this program, what we have learned, and the tremendous opportunities we have enjoyed over the past few months.
1. THE MENTORSHIP WAS DREAMY (GET IT?)
In addition to the incredible support provided by Farfetch's internal team (shoutout to our lead mentor Andreia!), we also got to meet with amazing members from the Stella McCartney, Burberry, and Brown's teams.
2. FASHION AND SUSTAINABILITY ARE TOP OF MIND
Sustainability in fashion is here to stay, reflected by the luxury and high street (mass) brands committed to supporting the start-ups in Dream Assembly.
3. FARFETCH IS A FORCE FOR GOOD
Farfetch is a pioneer in the fashion tech industry. Their focus on sustainability sends a strong signal to the market.
4. TEAMWORK MAKES THE DREAMWORK
We met amazing founders, some of whom we will be highlighting on the blog in the coming week. They hail from countries across the globe and are approaching every part of the value chain in helping make fashion more ethical, sustainable, and empowering!
